NASA Administrator Charles Bolden participates in a wreath laying ceremony as part of NASA's Day of Remembrance, Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at Arlington National Cemetery. Wreathes were laid in memory of those men and women who lost their lives in the quest for space exploration.

Sadly, a couple of days later on advice from his 'experts', President Obama effectively killed the American space program turning NASA into a bit player and holiday tour operator. Sad.

Wow. This is a VERY powerful image. Well done going with the black and white.
And it truly is sad what Obama pulled given that NASA was the absolutely only part of the government that paid for itself and turned a profit in it's information gathering and patents.

What a great post and information Phil. How sad that it has come to this. JFK would be appalled.

Nice shot showing that America does not forget those who tried to make our lives better. I like the black and white and feel that it enhances the sadness of the shot. Any comment I could make as to the current administration would probably get me in trouble. So I won't make one.
