This bird perched in a tree right next to me in my hide, to preen himself after he had just feasted on a Salmon on the River bank right below me.

Great capture indeed. The head really stands out from the dark bg and draws attention to the beak and the eye, with the talons forming a secondary focal point and balancing the image. There's almost a painted feel to it somehow - excellent work :-)

I'm a big fan of the eagle shots. He is so majestic. I almost become mesmerized by his gaze. Fantastic texture- his feathers are beautiful. Clarity beyond words. He looks magnicent on my desktop. Heck, he looks like he belongs there! Top job with this one~

i am a person that loves these magnificent birds. i have for many years collected any thing that had to do with the eagle. i use to watch then along the Missouri river in Jefferson city and have counted nine in one bunch. a little interest if you want it these birds also mate for life. the mate they pick is for life. these pictures are great. you are lucky to have gotten so close. great job. i did save this one as i have all the others posted on here. thank you.
