If you look deeply into "Road to Nowhere" this old school (long abandoned) is about halfway down. This image is taken from just past the school looking the other way.
bah, this image makes me jealous of where you live. I love the midwest endlessness that you portray in your shots, the area I live in is too densely packed with trees to get this type of experience. awesome photo, favorites.
I just have the impression to go back in the past when I look at this. time has no grasp in this. A fantastic lighting, love the shadows it gives. wonderful depht as well. A beautiful scenery yet again.^^
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them, and you have their shoes.

I love how the road disappears into the hills.....I also like the grasses on the roadeide, the contrast of brown, green, brown is great. The school building adds dimension to this for me. Also think the lighting is just perfect for this shot! Another into my fav's Michael & thank you :)
this is sooo beautiful!!! you've captured that countryside so well, makes me want to go live there, it looks so peaceful and innocent. where is this anyhow??
i agree with noobguy. the midwest is great. i live in iowa and the scenery here can be unbelieveable at times. this shot that you have here has a great combination of roaming hills and plains. very nice shadowing as well.
absolutly wonderful i cant stop looking at it! i wanna go there so bad i mean the mountains are actually...well dull-- not "dull" as in bad i mean as not like "peaky" ones here in alaska are all pointy ..never seen such wonderful mountains, and the school, abandoned or not, its perfect in that spot! where did you take that? i wanna go there and check it out some time soon!! thanks for the pic...its in my favs and a def 10!
I would just love to live in a place like this. Looks like something out of the film "True Grit" (John Wayne). Had no idea places like this still existed in todays society.
This is just now the first time Ive seen this amazing photo! and it is March 2005!! Thef colours are just breathtaking, is that sky really that blue? This to me is one of the TOP photos I've seen on caedes! The perspective is perfect...the scene is serene and one I wish I were at. Did you take this in Wa.??sooooooooo awesome!!
It is such a peaceful place, the green mountains makes it so special !
with the name "school's out" make me going back to my young days
