This image was taken in "Kings Canyon National Park" in California. I've always loved taking water shots. I guess it is because, wherever water goes life follows.
"I yam what I yam and I yam what I yam that I yam / And I got a lotta muscle and I only gots one eye / And I'll never hurt nobodys and I'll never tell a lie / Top to me bottom and me bottom to me top / That's the way it is 'til the day that I drop, what am I? / I yam what I yam".

This almost looks painted .. like a Frank Frazetta background. If you squint your eyes you can faintly see a barbarian woman washing mud off her ankle, her sword and shield close at hand catching the sun's rays and glinting with specular highlights ... wha, huh .. sorry I musta dozed off.
Yeah, that's a good shot. The twin meandering streams are just the excellent compositional components to this shot. The long exposure makes the waters look misty and diaphanous, and the unbelievable crispness of the rocks and the lower pools are breathtaking. I don't know how you did this, but it's magnificent.
I wish this image wasn't restricted by the frame but what a fantastic picture. You capture the deep brown earth tones and silken white water so very well. Thanx for posting! :o)
All of earth is crammed with heaven And every bush aflame with God But only those who see take off their shoes. - Elizabeth Barrett Browning<p>
