Like a lonely monolith standing against the elements! It dares Mother Nature to challenge it. I realy like the bench next to it. It seems to ask for some one to join it in it,s lonlyness. Very nice capture..
It has a nice surreal dreamy feel to it. I think it would have looked even better without the black on the top and bottom. It still gets high marks from me. :c)
Is this from the 'firmly in winter's grasp' tour. The one where your backup singers were sueing you for freezing their knickers to their knees. I got the t-shirt from that concert, You RAWK. Oh wait, wait... I'm confusing you with Pink Floyd. Your name's Michael. My mistake. Never mind.
LOL Darryl! I agree, this is a beautiful shot! I was missing my daily fix, did you go away for the weekend or did I just become blind and not notice posting on saturday? :)
Great shot Mike, but I do agree w/Tom on the black. I'll wait till Spring to take you up on the picnic...hehe! High marks and I hope your heating bill gets better.

I agree with mayne you camera is insane, taking pictures 5 miles away. What did you use, a telescope? Anyways, it is a swell pictorale. You have not shown me 1 picture I don't like of yours. 10

Cool shot! lol cool get it? anyway yes I agree i love this pic its beautiful. It almost looks like the tree has little lights on the ends of the branches. such a sweet lil pic. thanks for sharing
This is a lovely shot. Nice on the desktop too. The tree blossoms are so fragile appearing and almost look lite up - a perfect little tree. The super white snow sets off the whispy tree and lonely picnic bench. Pleasing image you've made...Thanks
You must have been out there a while to keep lens condensation from causing problems. Winter temperatures like this are common for my area as well and I know that winter photography can be tricky. Beautifual shot.
Hey there, this one was my desktop for a few weeks, too. It reminds me of a magical world, where you don't quite know what's over the hill but you are ever intrigued with finding out. Nice work.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
