A large storm had just passed and it was late afternoon. All of the colors were well saturated because of the rain. In the distance we see a grain elevator in the lower left quadrant, the small City of Benton City WA and further out we see Rattlesnake Mt. The mountain stands 3400 ft above sea level. The image was taken from about 450 ft above sea level. This perspective really adds depth and a sense of scale to the image.

You know, your color and exposure is always 'spot-on' as they say. I was always one of those photographers that stood there forever, holding their breath, steadying their hand, my family would wander off and come back to get me, if an animal was involved I would wait for it to look my way and wink, needless to say I got very few animal shots. Please don't tell me you raise the camera and click (consider your answer carefully ;) )

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

Wish I could look out my window and see that every morning! Beautiful shot as always.

Remarkable image. I like the discrete edges of the color swathes that band this image in the foreground and the fading earth in the background which eases the eye into the sky. Lovely work.

What a big big place. And yet so detailed and gifted with divine tints and hues. Exquisite.

I like this one... You can see how the glaciers cut the mountains. They all line up.
