A place on the Ohanapecosh River in the Mount Rainier National Park. It is a very private place, as not too many people know where it is located. I go there sometimes to find solitude.
My first 10 of the day. The use of the long exposure on the waterfall is spectacular in this case. Also the work you did (I assume) on the leaves that form a virtual border around the image is very well done and entirely appropriate. Thanks for this wonderful work.
You ought to bottle that solitude when you find it ... people pay $1 for a bottle of water, just think what they'll pay for solitude ... and it's lighter, think of the shipping cost savings. If you shaped the bottle like a test tube, you could call it ... Solitube ... Have your people call my people and we'll do lunch.
Wonderful color, especially in the leaves of the small trees that flank both sides of the stream. I enjoy the hazy feeling to the image. Great job as usual.
It was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, "God Bless Us, Every One!
--Charles Dickens

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
