Winter and Spring: A cross road to the seasons. One of the very first plants to bloom around here are the Crocus. I always love to see them. I guess it's because I know the earth is coming alive again after its winter nap.
very nice capture.. i love the contrast between the flower in focus and the blurred background.. the colors are excellent as well.. the shadows give the flower a mysterious look to it.. very nicely done
I really like the lighting on this crocus Michael. It really adds to the beauty of the flower. The background appears to be a softly brushed pastel palette of colors designed especially to show off this purple beauty! Well done & thanks :))
Excellent shot! I really like the extreme difference in focus you used. This should be used as an example of what a flower shot should look like when some talent and thought are put into it.
i love the lightning on this one, all those shadows and darkness contrasts make this image look like it was taken from a fantasy movie.. i like the focusing in this one (agains the background blur), you caught the true beauty of this wonderful crocuse.. its petals looks so tender and soft.. almost transparent under the light.. looks a bit magical, doesn't it? :)
and the whole image uses the most of the "cold colours".. it makes a nice desktop as well :)
thank you for sharing it with us! :)
