It was a rainy day, as it often is, in the forests surrounding Mt Rainier in Washington State. This image is of a rain soaked rock in the Ohanapecosh River. I had traveled 150 miles to photograph and even in the rain this was a tempting subject. Late summer and a quick swim is enough to remind you that this River comes straight off of a glacier as it can certainly take your breath away.

I love the level abstraction here. Lovely hues too. (And quite naturally so, since it's one of yours ^_^)

I've been able to do this fairly well only once. How about a tutorial on time- lapse? Pleeeez?

Weird but true: The actor who portrayed the aggressively smoking "Marlboro Man" in print and television cigarette advertisements died of lung cancer. The rugged Marine who posed for the "A Few Good Men" recruiting poster was homosexual.

Magnificent example of an exposure-delay shot. This is right at the edge of what can be done with our cameras, isn't it? It looks like you shot the same shot repeatedly with different shutter speeds and chose the longest delay you could get without overexposing the image. The detail on the rock is fine, but the rushing waters blend into some Cezanne-type blur. I wish you'd either centered the rock or brought another into the image to balance it, but other than that it's perfect and reveals the thought you put into it.
