An old barn out of Leavenworth Washington on old highway 209. It was taken last fall after the final harvest of hay and the fall color had started to come on good.

nice shot.. only thing i notice is when looking at it is that the lighter portion of the pine trees in the middle takes my attention away from the barn, but otherwise good job

Strangely enough I thought of the same thing as Andy did, I think it's because it fools us as far as the depth perception goes. It seems to be closer to us than the barn appears...even though we know it isn't. I love the colors in this one though.

Good morning
I must have the same sense of humour as Keith above - I looked at the photo, looked at his comments and could see the ad appearing in the paper - "Renovators dream. Cheap at half the price." :)
And as Verena, I find the photo sedate and peaceful.
The richness opf the colours, the mystery of the woods behind and the appearance of the barn itself all beg to tell a story. Very nicely framed too.

I'm drawn to the barn, We have a multitude around here. It's a style I havn't seen with such a high pitch and low walls. The roof looks like old burlap now.

Interesting difference in the clarity of the barn and trees on the right side against the slightly out of focus trees in the background.

What a wonderful photo. I agree with Romane that everything about this image begs to tell a story. Makes me wish I was a kid again when times were more carefree. Lovely capture and perfect desktop.

Another beautiful shot! The colors in this are beautiful and the the forest trees make such a great background for the farmhouse and the grass plains have nice colors to them, one of your best may I say! This is going into my favorites also!

Very nice shot (as are all of yours). I had to look, but I've been on that road. From Plaine to Leavenworth there is a lot of beautiful scenery ...

I love photos of old barns and this is really a good one Michael. This is proven by the number of downloads. I like the composition very much with the barn to the side waiting for the animals to amble into the scene.
