This small butterfly has found refuge in a thicket of thistles. I chased these little ones all over this field one fall morning in Yellowstone National Park.
Oh I like most of all the light on these. They shine like some precious metal or genstone! And then the wonderful little butterfly. I have never been able to see one to take a photo of it...this is absolutely lovely. The contrast between the "stickery" look and the soft roundness of the butterfly....just beautiful indeed!!
Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

Not sure how exactly you achieved this effect for this composition but it's a gorgeous wallpaper and photo. Love the angle, the colors, the lighting, you name it.
What a unique shot - this was worth chasing! The title caught my eye first - and then when I looked at this full-size, I was glad I didn't miss this one! A definite 10!
The lighting and the color make this capture unique. I don't think I've ever seen a pic of this soft subtle quality before. Thanks for submitting this.
