This cute little guy was quite fearless in that it allowed me to get within about 15 feet away before he scampered under his rock. While visiting the blast zone near Mt. St. Helens two years ago I was very surprised to see so much wildlife. There were birds of all description, elk, deer, bears and ... well just to many to mention. I was just a little late for the spring flower show and this year I'm going to try to be there, if my back is healed up enough by then.

Oh Michael, he is so very, very cute! The white on his back matches the white of the rocks perfectly. He is color co-ordinated! When I was reading your comment, it sounded like something out of a Walt Disney ad! It was great! I am surprised that you were able to get that close. Usually, these little guys run away pretty doggone fast. I had one scre the stuffin' out of me in the when we were in the rain forest off of the Olympic Peninsula. He ran across my feet and I thought I was dead!!!! It is pretty funny is retrospect.
I hope your back is ready for that spring lfower show and that DiAnn is ready for you to go! This ia great wildlife image and is oging into my favorite's folder on my harddrive *waves hi*
Thanks :~)

I have never seen a chipmunk in Florida! Squirrels and rats...but never a chipmunk!
This is so cute! Nice and clear!
