Well, for being "all you could find" it is a superb image! I love the colours, the blurred background, making them pop out at you, and the framing suits it! Very well done, indeed!
All you could find? Sure works for me. I'm starting to weary over all the flower pics that are posted and rarely save one anymore. But, I did save this one. It is unique and stands out from the pack. The bright green leaves against the beautiful purple is stricking,. Excellent composition.

My very most favorite flower in the whole wide world Michael and you have captured it perfectly. I love the dark purple, tightly compacted buds of the lilac bush against the fresh green spring leaves that have just woken up from a long winter nap. Astonishing clarity and color and quality. This one is going to my harddrive where it can live with lot's of love and I can take it out and stare at it whenever I need a "lilac fix"!!!!
Thank you Michal for sharing this beauty with us :~)
these flowers or this branch is very beautiful i could actually sit and look a it all day, the green and purple are very complimentary to one another. jen
OK, let me pick my chin up off the floor! This is superb Michael, such a rich image with perfect clarity and framing. A 10 and into my favs it goes! Excellent work!
Lilacs are a favorite of mine. Love their smell and colors. This is a beautiful shot and I like the frame you used with the outer border matching the flowers color. Nice on the desktop too :>
"all" you could find were these? awwwwwwwwwwwwwww...my goodness, thats too bad..haha...lilacs are magnificient here in ORegon right now too, but I like that you got them in the bud...and of course your framing is outstanding as per usual...hey my friend, do you ever answer your PMs?? lol.........verena
This is a beautiful photograph! I love the detail and the color that you captured and your composition is wonderful. I also like how you use the color in the flowers as the border (that's a little trick I've picked up around this site). The only thing that I noticed is that the flowers are slightly off center... is that done on purpose?
a very beautiful capture! i love the different green tones and framing is also great.
i must admit you have also a lot of other great pictures in your gallery!
Hello Michael, oh my, I recently had the extreme pleasure of seeing this image in the voting booth, and I knew exactly who the author was! I have become quite familiar with your artistic abilities and they are extraoridnaire! You rank among the very best on Caedes Mike and I have always been impressed!!! You know what I think, among many things, that your work is outstanding in one specific and unique way, beyond being beautiful, and that is one of 'refinement'! Your images are exact, finnished and completed in every distinct detail when you have relinquished your product! When you have surrended it to the viewers, there is nothing left to do, it is now complete in it's entirety! This image is gorgeous in a 'refined' and simple presentation! 'Simplicity is Beauty', as we often hear? Very pretty, and the color is remarkably lovely! Sincerely, Marilyn
One of the pleasures of this sight is one can come back again and again and find wonderful examples of fine art. This is no exception. Masterful composition and dof. The vertical works so well with this tall arrangement. Your exposure is spot on, capturing the minutess details and deep rich colour. As has been said already, few here can rival your work. Just great, thanks for sharing this with me.
