Good shot but the narrow white line all around is disturbing Don.

Has an almost silhouetted look about it. I do agree with Raj about the white area that circles the bird. Tigs♥ =^..^=

Think that the white line where Sandi and Raj are talking about is the result of some over editing. Probably the image was taken in difficult lighting conditions. To resolve the lack of contrast between bird and background you've tried to achieve an optimal result. You've succeeded almost in doing this Don, but you went a tiny step to far, lol.

Thanks anyhow for your attempt to provide us still with an acceptable image.

Regards, Cornelius.

Do you happen to know its name, Don? Just first name. Family names and dates are not necessary:)
Quite an amiable looking fella.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Agree with Sandi & Raj about the line around this fellow. Great shot though, does look like a Sandpiper

Unusual bird. I've never seen a sandpiper off the ground. Interesting capture!

I have no idea either what type of bird it is, but perhaps a sandpiper as they all say above. That is one long beak and a very good try at the shot Don!!
