What a sweet desktop this makes. Pretty light and contrasting colors. Nice clear capture of take off, landing, slide down, or whatever... Very well composed. Then again, I like the main focus coming in from the left and my icons to the right. ;) favs.
What a great shot! Why did you hold on to this one for a month? Does your camera have a "burst" setting or was this a one shot freeze action deal? At any rate, I love this lttle budgie coming in for a landing. Well done!
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Good capture Philip....poor little guy looks like he is coming in for a landing with his flaps up and off the runway!!! Cute bird and cute image. It's a keeper! Thanks ;))
what an adorable robin :) they are my favourite birds.. who could resist them? :)
great timing here! if you had waited for one more second, he would have landed on the snow. everything is amazing in this image.. and the crystal white snow makes a great contrast with the background and this little fellow :)
oh, and.. i have discovered your secret. you always make great images.. i know why! you've defeated the matrix, didn't you?! don't lie to us!!! :)) like those bullet-time scenes in the movie, you are able to take shots like these! :D
thank you for this stunning image! favourites and highest marks in return :o) enjoy your day!
I absolutely adore robins, and capturing them in-flight, and landing is indeed both rare and difficult and requires a great deal of skill, they are nippy little birds. This is a beautiful photo of one of my favourite animals and the snow adds to the charm. Fantastic :-)
I'll start off with my only complaint which is the lack of crispness in the snow and parts of the bird. With that being said, however, I love this image. Perfect color balance between the snow and bird/background. I like how the bird isn't in the center of the frame. The way he is off to the left and facing right really gvies you the feel that he is on his way across the image. Again, nicely done.
