Straight to my desktop, bird slideshow, and favs. This is one of the prettiest bird images for my particular tastes I have had the pleasure to view. I love the positioning, lighting, clarity, and little patch of flowers below. This is special and it brings me peace. I hope others will agree.

What a beautiful capture Philip! The kittiwake appears peaceful & the lighting is great. Your BG accentuates the bird....the contrast of the soft feathers and the rocks is wonderful. Well done. I do agree with BJ. Right into my fav's on my h/d & thank you :))

Great composition! I love that the colors are muted except for the burst of color with his yellow beak.

i'm surprised there are so few comments, but this one is beautiful! that little birdie looks so innocent, especially with that gentle look in its eyes.. great details too.
its soft white feathers against the dark background form a beautiful contrast. but i love the lighting the most :) it creates shadows and a great contrast by splitting the image in two halfs, like a birdie ying yang :D

thank you for sharing this perfect image with us.. highest marks from me :)
have a nice day! :)

Oh that is just gorgeous. It absolutely glows in that shady spot. The turn of its head gives it a pensive quality. 10

Phillip, I gave this a 10. It's a beautiful shot and I agree with you on the lighting. Very effective the way you've captured this little creature looking so demure with lovely spots of sunlight on the rocks. Excellent detail. anne :-)

Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
