My old Twin lens reflex Halina a1. it is over 50 years old... and as if to prove it, it has "empire made" written on the back...
i used a similar setup to my "Sweet peas" photo.
Beautiful still life image Phillip. I did one recently of my old Yashica Mat. It doesn't work any more. What about this one? Is it still in working order? I love the lighting and reflections in this one. I wish it was a horizontal format without the brown borders. Nice job.

Oh this reminds..me..I have a camera much like this from my Dad..aNd he used he when he was real young..I should do a still life with it also. I love your idea on this. What a way to keep the nostalgia going...very nice shot..heh...I especially like the dark area right behind the camera..aNd the brown on the rest of the sides, it gives it such a nice 3D effect and then the gorgeous reflection does all the rest!!
The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it. -Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
What's that thingus with those two holes?
Is that for keeping the change money?
Amazing thing though, to see how fast cameras have evolved. I have a collection of cameras myself and alltough changes are small I will ever use them again, I can't depart from them. It's like throwing away my memories.
Keep it safe and keep it shiny!
Very nice post Philip!
I like this shot - very nice work with lighting and perfect focus! I love to see the vintage photography kit, they just look fantastic - thanks for posting this! Decent homage to your old friend!
Soft colour, composition, and warm lighting are the key features here...You have done a sterling job producing this image....Well done...All the best...Mick.
