The Andes of Peru was one of the most beautiful countries we visited, because of the history and the buildings of the Incas, and the kindness of the inhabitants.

Beautiful photograph, ppigeon. I myself went to Macchu Picchu a couple of times in the 90's, and it was spectacular. The Urubamba valley is something else, I have to add.
Here is the $64 000 question:
How can one travel cheaply and go to the places you do?

Nice picture, it brings back memories for me since i was born in Bolivia and lived alot in the higher altitudes until i was five. I've visited peru several times with my family when i was younger. macchu picchu is awesome. Lake titicaca was really cool too with the island of the sun and moon.

I will travel to Machu Pichu someday to match what some people I know did:
Play keep-ups with a soccer ball at the very top of the mountain :)
Interesting cultural picture.

This capture speaks many words and takes us into another place in time. This must have been some trek and experience. Machu Pichu is on my list of future destinations. Thank you so much for sharing this very personal experience and outstanding pic!
