Wow. You have outdone yourself with this Pierre! He is majestic! The ruffled feathers & the ruffled water behind him just add to the perfection of this picture. A 10 & in my fav's. Thank you.
I think I like this one better than the other photo because of the ripples in the water. It just adds something, though the other photo is beautiful as well. Fantastic job!
absolutely beautiful, especially with the reflection. And I don't even like swans, in general-I think their images are overused, but you made this one unique. :) Be glad he was in the water, I got cornered by some swans in England...<shudders>
Yes it is beautiful...they are the queen's protected birds in England so they were everywhere when I studied there last year. Unfortunately, my friend and I were chased by a flock of swans and I was almost bitten by one in Austria, so I prefer to admire them from a safe distance now :)

The lighting is exquisite and I love the push of water in front of the swan. Did you allow more black space between the swan and the top edge than between his reflection and the bottom edge because the reflection is darker? Anyway, it works beautifully. Très élégant!
WOW..this is a great shot and the same high quality is the pic of his girlfriend. You perfectly captured the movements and reflections in the water. And I love the background color.., well.. nothin' more to say but these two pics are incredibly beuatiful. Very well done
Hi Pierre, my oh my, you have captured this magnificent bird in a most dramatic way! Your photographic skills abound here! The colors of green and white are stunning, captivating! It is difficult to turn my eyes from the image! Very high votes from me Pierre! Into my favs this marvelous bird will glide in his most graceful manner! Sincerely, Marilyn
Excellent work on the quality of this image. The clarity is awesom and the glassed reflection within this shot sets this picture. The detail is great right down to the fine feathers of this bird. Lovely job here.
I like this one Pierre. The lighting and reflection make a very striking photo. The fact he looks a little threatening adds an air of drama, which makes the image even more compelling.
A magnificent and majestic bird and an equally beautiful photo. The reflected light in the neck shadows and the near burn of the white on his back near his neck stop just short of being too much and nicely so. A good balance of light and color. In the photograph of the female, the lack of wavelets from a wake make her appear to float in space. And now that I look closer at the date you shot and submitted them, both photos are exceptional because high quality digital cameras weren't around much, nearly eight years ago. That means it wasn't the camera that did an outstanding job but the photographer.
