This is superb Pierre. The color, contrast, detail & quality are excellent. I presume that the Ashen goose does not usually breed well or is an endangered species. You comments suggest that. I would appreciate more information regarding this type of goose. I find it fascinating that Caedes.net has opened up a whole new world of information to me. This pic is not only on my HD, but went directly to my desktop! Thank you again Pierre for bringing the world into my home!
Really wonderfull! I like your pictures really very much. It's surprising that you can photograph these ducks ok, these are wild gooses (dictionary says brant?) . When I try to come near some they always fly away. Ok, I think most of the time my dog is the reason because it's a hunting dog (hound?).
Mimi: I think there is no problem with Ashen geese. It's a common species in Europe. The migratory animals are always in danger... I spoke about their unique surviving child because the usual brood is 5 to 8 babies and here I just see one, with very vigilant parents...
Nazgul: impossible to supervise birds with a dog ... ;-)
Thanks to all :-))
That is such a tenderly beatiful photo! Its just perfect! The colours, the feelings shown, the serenty...the branches framing it all...you captured this sooooooooo very well!!!
Excellent and I love the title as well as the composition. First of all, that water is beautiful. It is a perfect realistic green. The little baby is so sweet. My gosh, I wonder what happened to all his brothers and sisters? Some tragedy must have befallen them. And if I were his parents, your darn right I would gauard him like a prospector with a bag of gold.. Lovely slice of life.
