very nice shot Pierre.. the glow from the lights is almost eerie.. i also like those orbs on the ground.. are those there all the time? great framing with the palm trees.. looks like an interesting place.. is the food good?

I wanna GO there too!!! the ambiance here is wonderful! you captured many feelings with this night shot...I imagine you went "wild" with taking photos!(or eating the yummy food LOL)

My wife and I were there in September for our honeymoon, and El Merced was going on. It's a week-long music festival, and this plaza was so full of people that you couldn't cross it in less than ten minutes. We managed to get a table right where your camera is pointing and spent the whole evening draining wine bottles and listening to music from about five different bands. Sadly since Barcelona is a relatively new city, it is not very photogenic. This plaza is one of the exceptions

You simply have a way with night in the city photography. I love the way you let it fade from the light to the upper stories and tree tops in darkness

Spectacular Pierre. Real nice exposure control. I hope that police vehicle wasn’t there to arrest photographers for photographing public buildings :-)
