"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great." - Mark Twain
Haha, another Pierre photo! Love the simplicity Pierre. I feel there is a bit to much sky which does not add to the image. I wonder if that tree would still be visible standing at the edge of the yellow carpet? You may have to borrow some stilts? Bliss:-)
what a beautiful scenery you got there, pierre! i like the various green shades, it makes a perfect and thorougly natural desktop.. and that lonely tree fits perfectly.. i would like to lay down on that soft grass... or under that tree.. and enjoy the nature. i'm already sleepy.. ok, ok, i will have been gone to bed after finishing this comment, i promise :)
i can almost feel the scent of the flowers, hear the birds singing, enjoy the sunshine.. this is such a gorgeous place.. if i may ask, where was this taken? in belgium or on your journey?
excellent lightning on this one, nice contrasts - dark trees against the soft blue sky.. but the composition is brilliant and is one of the main reasons why this image receives the highest marks from me :) thank you for sharing it with us!
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Ahh.. a great picture to have on my desktop at work, for today, May 12th, while it is 34 degrees out. Did anyone else notice that we skipped summer and went straight to fall?
Pictures like this will remind me what it is SUPPOSED to look like outside...
This is such an intriguing shot - the wonderful greens, the woods framing that lone tree. I'm with mayne about the sky. I would like to see less sky and I realise that the time of day means that it is also rather pale, but I would like it to be bluer.
I wonder if there was more of this shot which was cropped to fit the 1600/1200 aspect ratio. I'm curious what it would have looked like.
"What other reason could there be to get up in the morning except to set ourselves free."
If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
