Between the Pas de Calais and the Normandy, you'll find these impressive cliffs. We can understand why the allied armies didn't reach France at this place in june 1944...

I really like this, the scale. You can see the old water lines on the cliff. Plus the fog gives it a mysterious feel.

Hello there Pierre, its wonderful to see your posting again...I like the contrast of the huge rockmass and the "tiny" people..it really makes one realize the difference of the depth of this photo...and the fading rockmasses is great...Its a very good shot my friend. Hope you are doing alright....keep a smile going k?

Massive and certainly forbidding looking especially with these colors and fog. We people are such tiny things, eh? ;o

This photo has the quality of fine art. The sort of thing you'd find in a Christies auction of important photographs. I really love this. Thank you for sharing it.

It is a hard place with a lonely feeling even with all the people. Any image with a feeling is to me in a way wonderful.

Bonjour, Pierre. J'admire tous vos oeuvres depuis longtemps, mais ce photo est vraiment quelquechose. Je viens de retourner d'un sejour en Bretagne, France - et cette vue me fait le souvenir. Merci pour le photo, tres bienfait!
