Did the pigeon fly in one of those trees to get this shot?
Beware of the hunters, you may end up with a buck of shot in your backside!
But I must say, it was worth the effort, it's is a beautiful sight from here!

I love the vantage point from where you shot this picture Pierre! How beautiful the greens are in the foreground, and as they go farther into the fog, they have a wonderful tender look about them...so magical and it makes a person want to go farther and farther on a wonderful walk. Thank you so much for this photo my friend!!!

What a beautiful photo! The deep greens and the fog, the angle from which this was shot, all make me want to be there. Thanks for this.

Excellent shot - im trying to decide weather i prefer: The elevated or low angled shot.
This elevated shot is good because it gives the trees a context, and contains little negative space. The foreground trees suit the composition (and add a variety of hues), and despite including the ground, there is still alot of perspective and distance.
The low angled shot however gives the a sense of grandure that this shot is too a small degree missing.
Also the (more evident) fog gives the low angled picture a bit more atmosphere.

All in all though i feel i prefer this one (for the reasons above)
Thankyou Pierre for posting images that give me something to think about.
Cheers.
Sam.

Hello there Peirre! Wow, I just found these two awesome forest shots...I have been flipping between them so I could note the difference through my eyes! If forced to choose, I prefer this view. I really like how this shot brings out the tiny, minute details on the tree trunks...the itty-bitty branches and twigs. There is some really clear detail and definition here. The other angle reminds me of soaring majestic trees, as though I were laying on the forest floor looking up at the sky through the mist! Everything is sharp and clean with nice edges. Both are delightful and neither would be refused by me :)
I just prefer the elegance and of course, the different perspective of this shot. Well done on both and kudo's to you my freind! Thank you for posting them!
Oh and thank you so much for your visit to ~is it spring?~ I am beginning to patiently bide my time for the brightly colored spring flowers to start blooming here! I have had 2 small yellow crocuses in my yard this past week though. That means there is hope!! Your continued support and comments/critique are deeply appreciated Peirre. Drop by anytime, the door is always open and the coffee always on! :~)
