Some asked me if there are no problems to photograph people. In this very high village, a mother saw I was taking photos of children; she took her baby to help me for the photo. is it a best answer?

Exif: Nikon F70 - Nikkor 28-200 at 200 mm + flash - other datas unknown ;-)

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

A charming shot. The sense of the mother's delight and proudness of her child has been well captured by you. The light of the subjects is super. Great work.

viewing this photo makes my mind going separate ways:
one half thinks about this proud mother and her cute baby,
the other half wonders how they are living and if they have to suffer from their poverty....
but a great shot indeed :o)

wonderful wonderful portrait!! I love it! I think these are the most difficult pictures to take - to catch the expressions and thoughts of people and you did this so well! Patti

Agree about the poverty in these andean villages, but all my photos show smiling faces...
Are we sure our own lives are happier?
Thanks guys :-)

I agree too, money can’t buy happiness.

There is so much joy in that ladies face that you just have to be happy with her. It’s a powerful photo Pierre, one to be proud of.

I am so happy that you met this charming smiling couple, who would pose you so nicely. I have noticed people out there at the other end of the world may be not as rich as we are but they are very often much friendlier and happier. So in fact there is something we can be jealous of.

A most thought-provoking study of this mother and child - her expression of joy and pride so apparent, and the child - his look of inquisitiveness and interest is pure magic. Compared with some of the faces we see busily scurrying around cities this is a joy to behold. Wealth does not always bring happiness and sometimes so much time is spent earning it that there is little time left for moments such as this.

Looks like film, however there is nothing more moving and intellectually stimulating than shots just like these! Superb capture with nice symbolism.
