An excellent contest entry Pierre. A nice even balance between lighting & shadows which makes this scene all the more interesting. The white tree caught my eye immediately. The hazy / foggy background (negative space) adds to the overall atmosphere. I'm enjoying the mysterious wintery feel you captured here. Very well done & best of luck.
The highlighted trees is almost as if he is offering a magical glimpse of what lies ahead. A beauty that only he alone can create. I sit in awe. If I ever get this in the VB it will receive my highest. Good luck in the contest, your sure to do very well with this~~~~WHAT BEAUTY~~~~
THAT is one beautiful capture. The capture of the clumps of snow around the tree is eye catching. Perfect exposure for a difficult subject. Keep-pah!

Hello Pierre....This is the best winter scene on this site....All I can say it is a pleasure to view....Well done Pierre....All the best to you....Mick.
How beautiful the contrasts are here Pierre! The sun shining on the little tree. Then the shadows on the other side and upon the evergreens. Very lovely, cold and yet soft. I like that you have entered this photo into the contest. I will enjoy this on my desktop. Verena
A lovely winter scene, Pierre...the misty sky and valley below provide a subtle yet complimenting backdrop of 'negative space' in which to showcase this beautiful tree...hope it does well...good luck.

It's so nice. I love the bench. Looks like you had some more snow coming at you when you took this photo. It is so pretty. Kind of looks like a park around my neighborhood.
