At the east of Normandy, these chalk cliffs are facing the same cliffs at Dover in England.
I understand why the GI's didn't choose this place for D-Day...
Pierre, this is such a grand photo! You got things in there that just make the whole scene come together perfectly. Looking at the largest format, to see the little fence at the top left and then there are even homes up there! (so close to the edge of the cliff!) The sunlight on the water is awesome too. And the lighthouse! Then the seabirds and so beautiful are the clouds! They look almost painted on. They are so perfect! I would love to see more photos of this area if you have any. What a wonderful photo. Thank you so much. Verena
I like how each section of the cliffs, is just a little more covered by the fog, the further you go out. That sky is gorgeous and the birds just add to it. Very beautiful image.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to OZ and the Emerald City. A very nice place to live. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Très jolie photo de la mer et des falaises,la vue est vraiment jolie, les falaises sont bien hautes,c'est joli avec les oiseaux,le ciel est très bien aussi.
Particularly enjoy the graduated and reflected light on the cliff's fronts/sides mirrored on the water's surface ... as one moves further and deeper into your image here.
Wonderful composition, as always.
And but of course, thank you for sharing your work with us. :o)
