My only suggestion might be to shift the focus more to the front of the flower. Good details, colours and clarity in your photo. Good lighting and dof in the shot.

Very nice photo. If you wanted to get the whole flower in focus you could close the aperture down a couple of stops. If that makes your shutter speed too slow just go up a couple on the ISO. It is not likely to cause too much noise if your at or below 800 ISO.
Sounds like a nice lens. It should give you lots of opportunities for cool close up shots.
