These are abandoned goods carriages silently sitting behind a train station. I captured this shot at a station called “Ambewela” which is situated in high altitude and gets freezing cold some times.Your comments and votes will be accepted as a garlend.

Wow the tonal qualities in this are superb Priyantha. There is a wee bit of left tilt, otherwise the composition is excellent. I love those old wagons and can’t help wondering how long they have been there and why one of them still has its load of rocks or rubble. I think the sepia treatment is most appropriate for this style of photo.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

A wonderfully composed picture which has a great "old-style look" due to the Sepia filter. Your image title does perfectly match, those two abandoned goods carriages and the way you show us the scenery express the feeling of being "out of service" very well.
The depth of field is very good and the whole picture is sharp and clear. The longer I watched the pic the more I found it a bit overexposed. Maybe this has been left intentionally and you wanted to use it as a kind of effect. I made some slight adjustments on brightness in PS and liked it even more. Nevertheless, a very nice and expressive picture with lots of detail, there are many things to discover. Very good work from you, Priyantha.

I love that sepia tone you used on this shot, Priyantha. A sad & desolate looking place, to be sure. Places like this have so much history to them, I'm glad you brought it to our attention. One question though, are you considering any more like this, maybe in B &W ? It's a terrific medium for certain shots & I feel a place like this, or something similar, is made for it. A great shot to be sure.

It has a soft focus feel about it...not sure if the sepia has given it that feel or if you have applied some other filtering. Very well presented:-)

I think our friends above had said everything I'd like to say, perfect sepia for nostalgic picture. It reminds me a little my childchood in Poland. I love the composition too. Well done!

I think there is a bit of sadness when I look at anything from a bygone era that is no longer used. These are simple rail cars but they were built to last. Good image.

Wow, this is very special what you have done here. The scattered light gives the image a 3d effect. That effect is enhanced if you move behind the screen (especially up and down).
Terrific work! Please explain how you did this!

As Paul said it does feel very dimensional. I think the word everyone is searching for is subtle. Any and all effects have been applied so subtley that they don't get in the way of a great shot and can't quite be pinned down. Great job on this one.
