A quick creative foray into some colour.

And, the segue to this update for the current "B/W Challenge". That will close tomorrow, April 30th, for submissions/entries.

"What happens next?"

Well, I'll tell yous..

_____________________________________________________

Alllllll entries, including multiples by a member.. will be collated and put into separate posts on an upcoming image / upload of mine.

"You", speaking generally here.. will allocate six (6) "Creds" to your top three (3) choices:

Three (3) "Creds" for your number one pick

Two (2) "Creds" for your second choice

One (1) "Cred(s)" for your third choice

_____________________________________________________________

I won't be participating, for a couple of reasons. There are a number of entries (yay!).. and by my posting the image I can keep track of the number of "Creds" being allocated for a fair and accurate count.

Will post / upload the image after the challenge concludes and give voting.. a week? That should be enough time for everyone interested and that has participated to vote.

One last tip, and an important one, in my opinion.. "Histogram: Discover How To Take Better Photos By Exposing To The Right"

"Exposing to the right is beneficial because the further to the right you go, the more distinct tonal values there are. This produces a wider dynamic range. Dynamic range is the camera's ability to capture both dark and light regions of the scene and everything in between.

You can easily check the claim that images exposed to the right contain more detail than those exposed to the left. Simply take two identical photos of the same scene, but, using your camera's exposure compensation dial, drastically under-expose one of them.

Now, check the file sizes of both images. The properly exposed image will have a larger file size than the under-exposed image. This demonstrates how much more data your image holds when exposing to the right, rather than the left."

Need a snack after that ^^^..

Les, first of all: thanks for the update with respect to the B&W challenge. I hope you'll create or have created a provision that prevents an artist from voting for his own work. I 'm very curious about the voting result of the challenge.
Secondly, thanks for this fantastic and colorful image. It looks like the fish jumped out of the water to have its colorful and impressive appearance depicted, 😁 .
S+F. Thanks for sharing, 👍

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
