so do I! theres plenty of detail in here though that would have allowed you to rotate and extend it in photoshop. the colours and lighting are excellent.
Beautiful, as a Sydneysider I think this is a magnificent shot. (You would have been just infront of Luna Park :¬D) You probably weren't thinking of the water when you took this, just getting all the Bridge in at that angle would have been a deal. I like it, well done, nice and crisp too.
Theres a certain art in angled shots - in fact the bigger problem is the clip of the Opera House. Its such an important feature people will want the whole thing. Its a great photo though, no doubt.
Don't worry about the horion line. It happens. Perhaps you can improve it in some application. The composition and lighting is great. I love night shots. It is not that easy to have a good one.
Really captures the beauty of our city at night. I agree that it could easily be "levelled" in PS. In any case it is so atmospheric that it would bring a tear to the eye if I were OS right now!
Never give up. Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. ~~ Michael Jordan
And in reference to the comment of how the Opera House sneaks into the shot, well, I know I am thinking way way too much on this ... however, at first glance the word that came to mind was 'industrial.' The bridge's structure and the steel and so on, immediately suggested this ... then, when I did see the Opera House, I thought, hmm, nice juxtaposition of industrial and 'art.'
Of course now, having read the other comments on manipulation, I am wondering if this 'juxtaposition' I make mention of, could not be examined and perhaps, highlighted more?
Still, love the image. The colours, the light and yes, the angle ... brilliant. Nice work.
oh my oh my!!!!
night photos are difficult to capture,
exposure flaws or artifacts cause of the ISO levels of the digicam.
this one is perfectly balanced, from my technical side,
and very detailed from subject side.
i would prefer the horizon to be streight and not curvy, perhaps 2 steps back could give a better view of the photo, but ofcourse i might be wrong..
This picture is so good my eyes hurt. SIMPLY AMAZING. This shot speaks volumes about your abilities with a camera as well as your natural flair for envisionning an awesome angle. I give you twelve thumbs up!
fantastic quality, subject and angle, except the slanted horizon is unfortunate. i think i would have rotated and cropped it, even tho that would cut down on the size.
Well, everyone loves this shot, and as Sydney Harbour and its bridge were part of my childhood, so do I. Thank you so much for sharing this magnificent photograph.
I love this picture: the angle is unconventional and precisely for this same reason, great! The downtown skyline -while included and nicely shot- is of secondary importance to the mighty bridge which is the main subject. The clarity for a night shot is stunning! Excellent work my friend!
I think the slant adds to the feeling of being overwhelmed by the looming bridge, definitely a positive element. I love night photography so I'm biased, but there is nothing in this photo with which to find fault, particularly since this was taken 13 years ago, when cameras were much lower in definition than the 24mp DSLR Canon I use now, in 2018. Right into my favorites.
