Iowa is liable to have anything. I always treaded carefully when I drove through there (just kidding) Well, I'm with you. I have NEVER seen a post of a butterfly like this one. Did you take this in your local area? Love the little touch of pink in several places. His little antenne's are detailed and colorful in the download. I'll tell you what...it's a great capture whatever it is. I'm anxious to hear what others have to say.

That is one pretty little flutterby!! such a delicate colour, and yes the touches of pink are very unique...I imagine it comes from a very distinct area..it would be lovely if someone knew a bit about it to share with us. But you certainly took a perfect photo of this little butterfly..Wow..just to think you were able to take this picture of him just "sitting" on that flower...its really gorgeous. It looks like its made of golden silk....verena

Each day I must take one more step, no matter how small or how large, but I must take the step.

good morning robert. what first caught my eye were the colors of this photograph. i wasn't sure how i felt about the background being so close to the butterfly and the subtle pink flowers. so, i kept leaving it and going back for additional peeks. now i've decided that that is one of the things that make this photograph unique. congratulations.....well done. jen

Every morning I will rest my arms a while upon the windowsill of heaven, gaze upon God, and with that vision in my heart turn strong to meet my day.
