My previous post “Great White Profile” was shot with natural light the aperture was wide open at f2.8. For this shot I got a little closer, turned the flash on and set the aperture to f16. The black background effect and greater depth of field are the results of these settings. Bob

If butterflies wore haute couture, this one would take the cake on the catwalk! It looks like its wings are made of crushed velvet. And the beautiful flower, allowing it to latch on and dangle. Fantastic all around! :)

Hello again Robert! I prefer the natural lighting to this "flash" setting! It seems to have burned out some of the awesome detail that you captured in the other image. This is still good though ;~)

Thanks or the comments on "White Midnight" No tripods are allowed so using this technique makes hand held photography much easier.
