This male Anna's hummingbird frequently uses my patio for rest stops and doesn't seem to mind me being there at the same time. Those claws look like they belong to a raptor! No triggers, strobes, or multi flash / cameras; f2.8 and 1/125th.

This is truly an outstanding example of avian photography. The only thing that keeps this from being an absolutely perfect photo is the lighting which only partially illuminates those glowing feathers. Now if you could just train him to face toward the sun.....

This is an incredible capture of a beautiful 'hummer'! I feed them here & am rarely able to get a shot off from my camera! Their continuous movement makes photographing them quite a task! You have weathered that task quite well Rick and deserve many kudos for this capture!!! Well done. Thank you for putting a smile on my face :~)

This is an amzing Image I like everything on it only that it is a little dark wouldn't it look nicer if you darken it a little so that the flash doesn't show as much in the birds eye?

this is just the BEST photograph. you completely stopped him i flight. after seeing your picture, i set up a feeder and waited for days for a hummer to arrive. when they did, the photos i took were pathetic. since you're the master do you have any suggestions. jen

That is just awesome! What camera, shutter speed, etc? I had my camera aimed at a flower yesterday and a huge bee(hummingbird) was flying around my head. I started swinging my arms as I watched a nice hummingbird fly away. Dangit. Wouldn't have gotten a shot like that though.....(hate bees, like hummingbirds)

Great pix. Your camera must have a shutter speed of up to 1/4000 to get abosolute still images of fast hummingbird wings. Whatever the shot goes into my downloads. Keep up the good work.
