Probably first in a series of several because I'm in love with it. The process is fun, and I'm most pleased with the sharpness of the entire image. Do you think having so much black space is bad? Better if it had more objects in it, or better if the background weren't black?

Nice! Very crisp, good work. Personally I don't like flat black so I won't be using it as a background, but in this case I do think it is the most appropriate choice; I don't have any suggestions for alternatives.

thanks Samatar-- yeah a lot of people feel that way about black I think, myself included generally, but i made an exception here. i can see doing more of these in other colors; i think for this scheme, only black worked. i can see some where a blue background, or a white, would serve best.

but is that really any better, to have so much space? does there need to be more going on? i don't want to lose the focus on the shape.

This is one of the most elegant and striking images I've seen...and black is my preferred background for a desktop, so it's no wonder I really love what you've done here. Kudos!

Although in a glossy magazine this would be great, for me the black on the desktop just shows up all the grubby fingerprints (on the monitor glass) from my anklebiters! Despite this drawback for me personally, I too am drawn to these sort of sophisticated abstract images. Well done.

thx all for the comments-- mum42, i didn't ever think about black being bad for that reason, i have a flat screen it doesnt show those things much lol; maybe you can use it to reveal where to clean it haha

mary-- i'm glad you think its striking... i think that's what ill title the next one

I love the number of things people have seen in this, including lips, hair, and a bird.

10/10: It reminds me of fire. I love fire, so it stuck out at me. Also, I love black (and dark grey) as background colors. I don't like really bright screens so mostly my backgrounds are darker images or black or grey. This would definitely go up on my computer. Good work.

Yes very nice image, although i think it's kinda empty... aspecially when you have a large monitor it's a lot of black you're looking at. Maybe you could do three in a row from these or something, i don't know, maybe that would make it too busy... at least the colours are nice :c)

This is really cool. Its simple and has great colors. and O_o has a point, maybe if you did more than one slash, it would fill up the empty space and look really cool.
