OK since the comments I received about my The Passage Of Time photo, were tepid, I decided to upload the framed version of the image, and see what you think of it. So much for my forays into the weird :-)

Thanks Rachel. That's what attracted me to the tree in the first place. The smooth wter erased the boundary between tree and reflection.

i like both versions of this.. there are so many ways to perceive this image.. i see the Cypress tree, as well as a bat in flight.. the framing works well with this.. nicely done Regmar..

lol...just teasing...actually, I also like both, but perhaps this one a bit more and for the very reasons that you yourself pointed out...very nicely presented and quite a unique capture of this poor tree.:Pat.

Great shot... amazing how its still standing... good reflection can hardly tell where the real tree ends and the reflection starts...

Regmar, would you believe I like the first one better? I don’t mean that this is no good but the other one had the element of the unexpected, which I found more intriguing. They are both exceptional images. I hope this one goes well for you.

Lovely shot...keep working those verticals. The framing on this and the very still water make the color / tone contrasts work very well.

The lack of detail makes you look at the pic for a long time, which is nifty. I have noticed that, like myself and many others, you could use some better equipment. There tends to be a lack of crispness and clarity. If you zoom into the wood above water you can see a lack of detail that should be there.

I didn't see the original, but this one is very nice. Great reflection.
