Manhattan's Central Park could be in the middle of the countryside if it weren't for all the buildings on the perimeter. This spot is an enormous reservoir that occupies the center of the park next to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A path circles the reservoir, and is a lovely place to pass a relaxing hour or so in the crowded bustle of the busiest city I've ever seen.

Art is the perception of the creator. Meaning is the perception of the viewer. acceptance is the perception of society.

I'm emabrassed to confess that I didn't add a sepia effect. The color that you're seeing was there when I shot the photo. I pushed the contrast and saturation, and I warmed up the colors, but other than that (and cloning out some people on the track) I didn't add any effects. Thanks for all the wonderful comments.

Nice capture Regmar but I prefer landscape images for wallpapers. This is a fine image anyway. Well done.

I like this image and the way it is presented. I frequently do it myself. The colors and composition are excellent. I've seen sunsets this color and they can be really beautiful and I think you've captured it perfectly.
Well-done and top scores from me.

This is quite a reflection Reg...the general color of the image is bit unique....I like it when the sunset provides me with Mother Nature's special palette! This is framed out well and tastefully. Thank you for the neat explanation and posting :~)

I love the sephia tones which here and there are a bit light saturated. It leaves me sunk in thought for quite a while. Thank you for this moment of reflection.

I much prefer this skyline with the tree and the buildings facing each other across the water. They're probably both about the same age. Beautiful color and streaked reflection
