Since I got such a warm reception from my first upload in this set I decided to see if you would like another in my "Working Together" studies in black and white. As I suggested in Working Together As One the age of these oaks seem to evoke thoughts of coexistance and tolerance and the beauty these traits can produce over time. These two trees really aren't as close together as they seem, but when viewed from the proper angle - Voila!

Regmar, I know you know I enjoy black and white - I couldn't even imagine this looking nearly as good in color. The composition (your trick to correct angle) - does make them look intertwined. The detail buried within when viewing full is amazing. Well Done! - Patty

Wonderful capture Regmar and I againlike the B&W. Your angle is terrific and the moss growning on the front tree shows up so very well. Awesome photo. Thanks for sharing it. Anita

Excellent piece of work once again my friend. The black & white is exquisite. I am so in love with the soft angles that the intertwining branches of the tree provide. It allows my imagination to run wild! Your sense of angling for your composition couldn't be an better in my opinion. I love the title as well. It is too bad that many choose not to try that on for size and instead create enemies wherever they choose. I, like you, believe that over time, anything problem can be solved, nothing is too big to overcome. Very emotional and thought provoking. Thank you for the warm thoughts you produced. As always, my best to you & Lourdes and patience as the house is being rebuilt. Soon, all of this will pass my friend. :~)

Another beautiful capture Regmar. I agree with everyone else, love the angle and the b&w and the effect it creates. Your touching words evoke such wonderful feelings from this image. You did a wonderful job on this photo.

The moss growing on these trees is wild ...you have made a perfect choice to present this in B&W... I think in color would have not presented the same air to the shot at all. Wonderfully done.

The center space looks like a Hersey Kiss outline. Interesting capture and nice use of B&W.

This is a wonderful study of long living beauty. The B/W is very effective in this shot. The moss on the front tree is very well shown. Marvelous details and clarity and the best of angles! Your work is beautiful as are the ancient Oaks. The title fits these trees well. Thanks Regmar, for these glorious Louisiana trees :*>

A very touching photo my friend! Brings tears to my eyes...not only the black and white, but the story behind this, and the way these two are "buddies" all these years. I know Oaks last a long long time. I miss them a lot. The ones in Louisiana seem so much larger and stronger than the ones up here in ORegon. I hope you are doing well. I miss ya..Verena

I love that these trees are each wearing their own landscapes. You can take them as a whole or study the folds, texture and moss on a section. Somehow the word 'tree' just doesn't fit these magnificent, ancient creatures.

I really like this. I've taken a few shots like this, and passed by a few more, and haven't taken them. If I might offer a suggestion, perhaps try giving this a bit more "oomph" in the contrast, and really bring out the blacks in the texture of the trees. nicely done, sir.

Don't know how I missed this and the other one Regmar. The big trees look so soft with the treatment. B/W was a great choice.
