One evening while riding my bike along a local bayou I stopped to see what beauty the water had to offer me. A path to an empty children's playground wound away from this bridge, and the playground furniture were reflected along with the sunset in the water beneath the bridge. I just couldn't stop myself.

I am glad you didn't stop yourself Regmar. This is really a good post. It should do well. I really like the angle, texture and lighting. There really isn't anything about this I don't like. The Spanish Moss finishes it off perfectly. Great post.

A keen eye to catch the nuances of light in this scene. I particularly like the enhanced depth in the bridge which is created by the subtle bounce light from the reflections.

Well crafted. The stone bridge is a delight and now it is all decorated with fancy lights. A very eye catching image. How very pretty.

Love the light, textures and setting. Pink glow enhances the bridge and trees nicely. I wish my monitor was larger! : )

Hello Regmar....so good to see your photo!! Oh, this reminds me of some of Monet's paintings.! What a beatiful and tender looking spot, and those soft pastel colors of the sky reflection. How very beautiful!! I also like very much the grasses in the foreground. It just gives so much depth to the whole scene. And there will always be something unique and wonderfullly magical about the SPanish Moss. I miss it very much. If I could, I'd drape some over all the trees on our land here. Would love that a lot! heehee. I hope you are faring well, I think of you all down there so very often. My thoughts and prayers are with you..your friend always, Verena

Well, speaking from a novice's perspective ... you did indeed handle the technical aspects of exposure wonderfully.

Saw your image here, some time back ... and came back to it once again, this morning.

Caveats?

The bright section of walkway under the bridge.

Question, if I may ... why? As in, why do you have it placed within frame as you do?

The appeal, for me, of your photo here ... is the colour palette ... textures and reflections.

Curious if perhaps a square presentation might provide an assist in the compositional balance. And in turn, diminish the size of the walkway. In my very humble opinion ... too dominant as presented to us.

That said ... you got me back for an encore, and did indeed stimulate my thoughts. So, in my books ... that not only counts as a compliment, it also means mission accomplished.

A request then, time and opportunity permitting ... a revisit and reshoot?

In reading your accompanying narrative, I do believe you happened upon one of those scenes/settings that is gold.

Look forward to, should you decide to ... a companion image to this one here.

And make no mistake about my words above ... this is a good shot.

"a revisit and reshoot? "

Would be well worth it, if you were so inclined! Reflections are gorgeous.
