The statuary of New Orleans is one of my obsessions, and though my busy life rarely permits it I try as often as I can to photograph it. This was a Sunday morning session when I arose at 5:00, wandered the park, shot photos and returned home before my wife awakened. The morning light co-operated well, and this statue peeking through the branches of an oak tree caught my eye. I hope you like it.

Positioned so beautifully amid the branches! The branches also lay down a strong vertical for the background trees and almost mimic the curve of the stairs at right. The early morning light is simply beautiful in this setting, too. Thanks for sharing, Regmar.

Such a great shot Regmar. I agree with Alexis but I can also imagine the photo being cropped (which I did) and taking the steps. It gives the photo a more lonely, slipping around feel to it. Your photo is great as is, my idea was just a different take on it.
