The trees form a nice arch that draws the eyes to the gate and the mist beyond. Maybe the image could be rotated a few degrees to the right? Great compostion and lighting though. Lovely desktop! :))
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
I hope I am in the picture to sit down and appreciate the beauty of nature
so unspoiled, really thank you for the time to take this picture !
greeting from a NewZealand friend

Great shot....This image works, thanks to the strong form of the trees....The gate in the distance invites the eye to go throgh the picture to see what is on the other side...Their is no doubt you have a keen eye when it comes to photography...Well done...All the best...Mick.
I was asked to comment on this one I have left one a while back but just to let you know this is oe of my favs out of all the photos here. Its a beautiful spot.
Great picture Robert. Bags of atmosphere, very well thought out & composed. I think would look great as a B & W pic, apologies if someone has already said that, too many comments to read.
Well done
Gary
Extremely beautiful capture. What a wonderous place! The trees are huge and I like their bark. Also, like the way the trees open to the lovely view ahead - and the mist beyond the gate. 10/10s!
This is absoulutely awesome!! Those trees are so tall and majestic, this is an amazing photo, i love the way the trees meet at the top and make an arch way!! The air has a misty look to it...it reminds me of the poem by Robert Frost... "Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference"
Your photo looks to me like the one less travelled by...so beautiful and mysterious!!
