great composition Robert - weird how the foreground roll appears to be isolated compared to the multitude in the background. my only negative feelings on it would be the slightly soft detail and flatt(ish) colour contrast which isnt helped by the foreground being in shadow. really nice shot aside from that.
I agree with phil in every way. You can do some contrast adjusment to some areas and it might help. Other than that I love this shot because its showing a piece of culture and heritage in it. And your composition is lovely. Oh by the way the focus too is good :)
Very unusual and effective image....It would be interesting to see it with a bit more contrast but the flattish foreground has the effect of forcing the eye into the distance which I find quite appealing.
A lot of people take photos of this kind of thing, yet the way you have taken this photo makes it unique from other like it. Composition is really good - it appears as if the field could go on for miles! Agree about a lack of colour contrast, but it's an excellent photo.
En dan te bedenken dat ik eind augustus op vakantie was in Frankrijk met in gedachte ook zo'n foto te maken....maar ik was net te laat!
Prachtige foto!
Yes, memories of last summer...the way you have captured the straw bales takes your eye right into the picture and I also like the way you have left the sky out...Excellent...All the best ...Mick.
I really like this shot. I like the way it makes you feel like you are drawn into the shot. I love the colors. Thank you for taking it and sharing it with everyone! It is in my favs now!!!
interesting that the foreground roll is 90 degrees to all the others. Pretty heavy to drag around. Did they use a loader to pose it or is it on the border of a change in harvesting pattern?
Cropping off bright background would leave a pensive and restful pic.
