Nice "slice-of-life" shot... and many of us aren't around at that time to catch what is probably a repeating scene. Me, I'd still be at the local McDonald's with my hands wrapped around a cup of coffee... :) Do you have McDonald's in Switzerland?
Love the way the sun is burning (slowly) through the fog and the way the light glints off the rails. This would be a good shot for the BW contest...I hope you will enter it.
I love the foggy atmosphere and your choice to do this in b&w, Roland! Great lines and beautiful contrast and lighting! I especially like the dim control lights that can be seen through the fog! Very well done! :)
Great shot. Very evocative and good framing. 10/10. Standing in the middle of some tracks is probably a bad place to wait for a train to arrive. But at least we have a photograph to remember them by.... :-)
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
