i have seen millions of dead tress in BC, either because of age, fire or bugs, if you don't think in terms of human time, no problem at all, there will grow new trees some day ....
This is really impressive ! I like the perspective and the little glimpse of the scenery beyond. Hopefully the forest will get the chance to regenerate - sometime, even if not in our lifetime :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
You are so right Roland. I have seen a lot of these in different places from the Smokey Mountains on down through Alabama. A lot due to some bug. But never the less there is still beauty. Nicely captured.
Trees in the NorthWest are often considered a renewal crop...like wheat, only much, much longer. To see devastated trees like this could be disease, or they could be on the edge of a major fire. Just tonight I saw a video where multiple cases of coordinated arson are being considered to account for the unusual amount of forest fires this year. This is a compelling sight, also sad. Nice work!
