unfortunatly we did not have wind as much as we expected, so were travelling by engine a lot ... still nice, but different ...

I am shocked over the selection of "sail" as your title. Where did you come up with that? Surely, the theme of this picture is "ropes!"

Ronald, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ICTZ), known by seamen as doldrums, is known for its calm periods. During these periods, the wind can blow very weakly for days or weeks, or even die down completely.

I didn't know that in the area in which you were sailing, this phenomenon exist too. (just kidding, 😁)
