This was outside my kitchen window on my first morning cup of coffee as a civilian. Nice to be reminded of how life begins after taking it for so many years. This should be the first of several shots as things progress.

I'm glad you got the capture, next time try thinking a bit more about the composition. You could improve this with a different angle and crop

Great shot and a cute bird! I think its a baby hummingbird, isn't it? Good luck getting back to being a civilian Roland. I'm sure it'll be tough, but you'll make it!

I think it is the first time I have seen a Hummingbird Nest. I had this in Voting Booth and gave it high marks for the capture. Nice post.

Check the shadows to see if you are there
Fantastic job capturing something that we rarely see! I certainly have never seen a hummingbird nest. Understanding of course your need to not disturb the subject - and thus you cannot get too close - perhaps you could crop it a bit afterwards and do some spot brightening? You've done such a great job finding the subject that I think you should highlight it! Well done.
