Wonderful color, but in my opinion I think the moon could be smaller and down a tad lower, I get the feeling the moon is out in front of the bridge, instead of being in the sky behind. I know you are working with light. I'd like the photo without the moon even.
It seems to me that the moon is correct in size and position. As I look at your picture, the strong support wires supporting the front frame of the bridge are being used as man-made beams of the moon and are geometrically sized with the moon.
As I stare longer at "Moonlighting," I find myself also seeing an astract giant insect with the moon being the head and the bridge being the body.
I may have had too much coffee. But I do believe you have a fascinating picture.
ditto ditto BTW The nights are usually blueish or redish or brownish, black is a myth I think, don't you agree? LOL Thanks, dear agent, well done !!! Yours SAM
It's beautiful, Rob. I have to agree with Carol, though. The size of the moon creates a significant imbalance. Smaller, and in from the left border, almost halfway to the structure would make it well balanced and more believable/natural. That said, it's still personal preference, and a nice creation.
Rob....I noticed some comments about the size and location of the moon. What those folks don't understand is that many of your shots are taken through your telescope on your home planet of Xenon. All things considered there is no imbalance because your space ship travels at warp 10.0 which bends the time-space continuum. Simple physics for you Xenonites.
Seriously beautiful work. One of my all time favorites. No flaws that I can see. I can't wait until the scientists get a look at your brain.
I'm not going to argue over who has the bigger moon. I'm just going to admire the artistry of the image. Nice manipulation work, Rob. I like the blue shading in the scene. A nicely composed shot.
