The colorization of the detail in this is amazing Rob. The nails, chain, wood, hinges and the brass on the overalls are perfect.
Not to mention the man and his clothing. You didn't miss a thing.
I imagine he is thinking about all he has done in his life and wishing he had the energy to do more.
Great work.
Faved of course.

Looks to me he is about to have a migraine from all that photography going on (flashes back then were something else). Excellent work!

Love the blue overhauls and the light color to the knee on the one side. Looks very natural. He worked hard I'm sure.

Excellent choice of colors for your editing process, Rob, emphasizing the hardship that this settler had gone trough and, at the time that the original image was taken, probably still went trough.
Perfectly done, so a well deserved kudos, my friend, 👍 !

The colorization of this is fantastic. You even major on the little details.

One of the founding members of the Tiny House movement. A marvel of eco-friendly design and local sourcing, the house actually had it's AC built right into the walls. Astonishing really. Master architect Frank Lloyd Wright would later reference the same simple, clean lines in his masterwork Falling Down.
The outhouse could use some work though.

Just think if you could go back to when this was taken and talk with him. I am sure he has memories of civil war as a child.
