Huuummmm....usually I like to think my subjects are Stepping out of time. In this one I left the subject B&W so Stepping back in time seems more appropriate .....or is this a conundrum... love that word.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

That is a good word Rob. The photographers back in the day were artists at using available light. They didn't have all the fancy strobes people have today. You canlt beat natural lighting for a photo. You choose many photos where the lighting is exceptional like this one.
I do like how you reversed your colorization process in this one. I would love to own that bench.
Thanks for bringing these great photos to our attention. Your art is not only in the colorization, but also the choosing of the photo.

Good choice on your approach to this image, these scenes depict so much, more so than I ever imagined they would.

Rob, by looking at this photograph, I get an indefinable feeling of loneliness and it makes me realize that we spend the majority of our lives waiting.
I totally agree with Tick that you aren't only a master at (selectively and also in reverse) coloring of antique B&W-photographs, but in selecting these remarkable photographs as well!
S+F. Thanks, 👍 !
