As a child of a farmer, I know right well that the children learn early to participate in the chores. It taught me a great work ethic. Sadly most kids these days are irresponsible. They play games a lot and talk back to their elders. It would have done them good to get out and hoe the cotton fields. I realize not all could but still they need guidance and chores helps with that. Good colorization, Rob.

Your colorization fits this perfectly. I agree it does not hurt childeren to have chores, I think these days they have way to easy. I used to do the dishes, mow the yard, and pull weeds, and had to keep my room tidy. I think I ended up okay. :)

Exceptional coloring here ... as far as the scene is concerned, it would seem that in our troubled world there would be many who would be satisfied with a one room cabin, unfortunately.

Rob, I don't fully agree with those who feel that today's youth is totally ruined. Although there are countless problems, mostly drug-related, it's utopian to assume that in former days everything was better. Your previous images show harrowing situations that the youth faced mainly during the Great Depression. In this photograph the situation isn't that serious, although the newspaper, used as a tablecloth, shows that the situation isn't ideal.
You showed us another perfect example of colorization. Here too you've used your talents not to idealize but to accentuate. Perfectly done again!
